I had a letter all teed up that argued for standardized credit card machines downtown to make shopping easier. But I tossed that in favor of praise for Jeff Thacker’s excellent idea in his letter of Jan. 28.
Now, I’m a baseball fan, and I’ve read box scores and team standings all my life. I join Jeff and would like to see something like that for politicians at the state and federal level for E-R readers. Maybe six politicians, more if you throw in the governor. Just a compact table like baseball standings with a few columns listing bill numbers. Recent votes. Current votes. Future votes. Links to .gov sites. Updated once a week like on a Saturday. It could even display a “sponsorship” column so we can track if one of them has been traded to a different corporation or PAC.
If there were such a feature, I’d be a reader.
